Hemnet's long-term climate goals have been approved by the Science Based Target initiative

Hemnet's targets for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 have now been approved by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi).
 

- We are pleased that SBTi has approved our long-term climate goals, which are a crucial part of our strategic sustainability efforts. We believe it is essential that corporate efforts to achieve global climate goals are grounded in research and science, and that's why we chose to commit to SBTi, says Cecilia Beck-Friis, CEO of Hemnet.

In 2022, Hemnet applied to participate in the Science Based Targets initiative ("SBTi") and committed to meeting the initiative's short-term scientifically grounded emission reduction goals for small and medium-sized enterprises. This means that we aim to reduce our carbon dioxide emissions by 42 percent by 2030. SBTi already approved Hemnet's short-term goals in January 2023 and has now also approved Hemnet's long-term climate goals, which involve achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by no later than 2050.
